Hi everyone. It’s me, Olivia. We finally visited the Haines Shoe House in York, PA this summer. The Shoe House was recently bought by someone new and they are turning it into an Airbnb, so Mommy wanted to make sure I got to see it before it changed. You can see the Shoe House as you drive down road and I always wondered what it looked like inside. There was a little museum that told us all about Mahlon Haines, the man who made the house. He was a shoe salesman, and he built the house to attract business. He seemed like a very smart and kind man. We got ice cream there after our tour, just like Mommy did when she was a kid.
