Hi everyone. It’s me, Olivia. This summer we went to Maine with Mommy’s friend Heather and my friend Lydia. We had the BEST time ever! Maine is the most beautiful state I have ever seen. Heather and her husband, Kevin have a beautiful cabin in the woods, and it is so pretty! We had a really nice family dinner on our first night at the cabin and it felt really nice.
We got to swim in some ponds in Maine, but their ponds are as big as the lakes where we live. We also went hiking at Mt. Kineo. That was AMAZING! We had to take a ferry to get to the mountain and Lydia and I picked the most difficult trail to hike up. It was super steep and sometimes it felt like we could fall right off the edge. It was a little scary but mostly awesome. At the top of the mountain was a really tall fire tower that Lydia and I climbed up. Mommy tried but didn’t make it. She wants to go back so she can go to the top, and I want to go back to climb Mt. Kineo again (and a bunch more mountains too.)
We also got to go tubing down the Kennebec River. That was my favorite thing that we did the whole time. We laughed so hard! Heather almost fell out of her tube at the very beginning of the trip, and we all cracked up. At the very end of the trip, I fell out of my tube. Oh my. It was the funnest time ever!
I would love to have a cabin in Maine someday so we can have a lot more adventures there. It was so beautiful. Before we went to Heather’s cabin, we went whale watching in Boothbay Harbor, Maine too. We didn’t see any whales, but it was really pretty there – not as pretty as where the cabin was though. That was my favorite place ever.
