Hi Everyone,
It’s me, Olivia. We finally had our big steelhead fishing trip with PA Fish and Boat Commission, and it was THE BEST adventure of all. We got to see Lake Erie and all of the baby steelhead fish in a stream waiting to be released into the lake. We didn’t fish in Lake Erie though. We fished in a stream called Elk Creek, and it was amazing! Our guide’s name was Gary, and boy, was he ever kind and helpful. He made our day so special. I really hope I can fish with him again someday.
Mommy and I both hooked two fish, but neither one of us reeled one in the whole way. Only one of the ladies caught a fish, but everyone was so happy for her! Those fish are pretty tricky! It was so much fun trying to catch them, and I didn’t really mind that we didn’t get any of them to the land. Maybe next year!
After our fishing trip, mommy surprised me with a trip to Niagara Falls. It was so beautiful. My favorite part was being in Canada. We had chocolate croissants while we were there, and they were the most delicious things ever! Mommy was kind of proud of me because when I saw a homeless man in Canada, I gave him some of my own money instead of using her money. It felt really good to be able to do that. I hope he’s doing okay now that it’s getting colder outside. We always worry about people who don’t have a home.
