So Long 2021! (December 31, 2021)

Hi everyone. It’s us, the AdventurePages. We were incredibly blessed to share so many wonderful adventures together in 2021. We were able to see whales in Massachusetts, surf in Ocean City, see a beautiful VanGogh Experience in Philadelphia, run a race at the Bronx Zoo, go indoor skydiving, see NYC at Christmas, and spend lots of time camping at the beach. We are so very grateful for the memories that we’ve made and can’t wait to see what’s in store for us in 2022.

It’s me, Olivia. My favorite adventure this year was surfing. I can’t wait to go surfing with my own surfboard in the spring. I am really thankful for my adventures with my mom. There’s no one I would rather do adventures with than her. We have really good girl talks and we love to be silly and have so much fun. I love our time together.

It’s me, Missy. I am just so incredibly grateful for the time I’ve gotten to spend with Olivia doing all of our adventures this year and in 2020. I am blessed beyond words. I’m not sure I can label any adventure from this year as my favorite. They were all uniquely incredible. I loved my solo hang-gliding adventure, and I am pretty proud of myself for having the courage to do that alone (with my tandem pilot, of course). I also loved our surf lessons, and watching my sweet girl fall in love with riding the waves. But there was also seeing the look of sheer joy and awe on her face when a giant humpback whale breeched the surface of the water beside our boat on our whale watching trip in Provincetown, MA. And ice skating at Rockefeller Center – it was like a magical dream come true. I guess my most favorite memory though was just watching Olivia share such love and tenderness with the homeless people we met in NYC. She has the most beautiful heart, and it is such a privilege to watch her grow and share love with everyone she meets.

We haven’t gotten to start our shelter yet, but we aren’t giving up on our dream, and we are believing with all our hearts that it will happen in 2022. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us and ideas for new adventures for us to try. We love you all and we’re so excited to welcome 2022! It’s going to be an incredible year!
