Hi everyone. It’s me, Olivia. This year, I decided to participate in the Shady Dell Triple Play Series of horse shows. Shady Dell is the stable where I take lessons and lease my precious Colt. I am really hoping to win a Grand Champion ribbon this fall, but even if I don’t, I am so grateful to be able to ride there and to participate in the shows. And honestly, I’m kind of proud of myself for trying, because it makes me feel brave just to compete with other riders. Thankfully, when I am riding Colt, he helps me to relax, and then I just feel courageous and excited to be there with him.
This year, Mommy took me to Maryland Saddlery to get my very first show blazer. And hair ribbons and show shirt. Oh, my goodness, did we ever love that store!! The people were soooooooo kind and helpful. When we finally have our own farm, we want to go back to Maryland Saddlery to get everything we need for our horses. And everything Mommy will need so that she can ride too. It was seriously THE BEST store ever!!!
My biggest dream is for me and Mommy to have our farm so Colt can come live with us and be a therapy horse for families who live in the shelter that Mommy wants to build. He will be an amazing therapy horse, and the residents of the shelter are probably going to love him as much as we do. I hope that whatever your dreams are, you are chasing them like crazy. And I hope all of your dreams come true!
