Hi everyone. It’s me, Olivia. We went to NYC to do the Run for the Wild at the Bronx Zoo again this year, and we also brought along my bestie, Emma. Oh my goodness. Were we ever busy! We stayed at the Hyatt Centric Hotel in Times Square, and it is my new favorite place. The valet was so nice. Well, everyone was really nice! And our room was amazing. I’m really glad we had a bigger room than usual since Emma was with us.
After we got checked in, we went straight to American Girl with our dolls, Kavi and Millie. Mommy surprised us, and we got to have lunch at the cafe which was super fun. After that, we went to the hotel and our valet helped us to get a taxi. It was all of our first taxi ride ever in NYC! He took us to Central Park because Mommy always dreamed of riding the carousel in the park. It was nice to do something that she wanted to do. Emma and I climbed around on the rocks in the park, and it was fun to be out in nature right in the middle of the city.
After the park, we took another taxi to the Harry Potter Store. That was mine and Emma’s favorite part of the whole trip. It was amazing!!!!! They had EVERYTHING you can imagine in that store. I can’t even describe it, because it was just too good to be true. Emma and I love Harry Potter! We’re both in the Hufflepuff House. Which house are you? Have you gone to the Harry Potter Store?
The next day was the Run for the Wild at the Bronx Zoo. It was raining for the race, but I was really proud of myself because I ran the entire time. When we did the race before, my health issues were still a little tricky, so I had to walk a lot. But this time, I ran the whole way. It was pretty cold, so we didn’t stay to look around the zoo after the Run, but we did get to see the rhinos before we left. They were adorable. I’m really excited to do the Run for the Wild again next year because it raises money for WCS to help animals. If you’ve never been to the Bronx Zoo, you should definitely check it out. It’s a really special place! And if you do the Run for the Wild, you’ll be helping WCS too.
