Hi everyone. It’s me, Olivia. Happy New Year! I hope you are as excited for the New Year as me and Mommy are. 2022 was amazing and 2023 is already off to an awesome start. We did the Penguin Swim again today at Ocean City and we decided to enter the costume contest too. Guess what! We won for best costume couple! We were really excited because we won a big stuffed penguin. Then we found out we also won two free nights at a hotel and gift certificates for different restaurants! What a great day! The water was 46 degrees when we jumped in, but it was warm outside, so it wasn’t too bad. There were a lot of really neat costumes there. We’re already trying to figure out what to wear for next year.
I have some other really, really big news. Today is the day that mommy’s lease for Colt officially starts. That means he’s kind of like our horse. She told me on Christmas Eve, and it was the BEST Christmas ever! Mommy said that since we don’t have our farm yet, it’s better to lease him, but when we move into our farm, we want him to live there with us.
Now that we have Colt, we might not be able to do as many adventures away from home, but we do have some planned that we are really excited about. In a couple of weeks, we’re going to see our friend Kate in NYC, and of course we are going to do the Bronx Zoo race again in April. In May we really want to visit a beautiful castle hotel in Canada where they speak French. I can’t wait for that. Me and Mommy really want to go to Paris this year too. It might be hard to be away from the dogs for that long though, so we have to figure that out.
Getting Astro was one of our big adventures in 2022 and you should see how big he is already. He is so sweet and cute and GIANT! I love him so much.
I am really thankful that so many of you shared your adventures with us last year. It makes us both really happy to hear about your families. What are you looking forward to in 2023? Do you have any adventures planned? What was your favorite thing about 2022? I earned a spot on our Envirothon team at school so I will be busy with a lot of studying this year.
